I stopped actively developing Shutterpixie roughly two years ago, when I left California to move back to NYC, after living in Los Angeles and San Francisco for a few years. I added a few tweaks to the code here and there (as documented in the Dev Notes file -- the link is on the bottom of the main screen), but for the most part Shutterpixie been running untouched since I packed my car in March of 2007 and drove across the country (for the sixth time in my life!).
The fact that the site has run with minimal upkeep and updates for over two years is good news to the extent it means the code is working. It's not good news to the extent it means the site is way behind in terms of functionality. But two years, two jobs and three apartments later, I've settled back in NYC, installed Linux on my MacPro, and I've started coding again here and there.
The website is really simply and light, but there are thousands and thousands of lines of code behind it, and it's truly amazing how long it takes to find your way around something you wrote when you haven't looked at it for two years. Now that I've figured out my way around the source code again, though, I am hoping to start implementing new functionality on a regular basis again. The top three items on the agenda have been the top three items on the agenda forever now: AJAX, PayPal and the option to add album descriptions.
If you have anything you're dying to see added, as always, please let me know.
